What we fix
- Our mistakes, such as a value that does not match the CMS file, a wrong link, or an unclear explanation: we correct the page and add a dated note.
- Records CMS has changed, for example after a dispute is resolved: the site picks up the change at the next monthly update. If you need it sooner, tell us and we will check the latest CMS file.
Requests from a nursing home or its operator
If you believe a page about your facility is inaccurate, email us with the page address, the statement you dispute, and why. We review every such request and respond within 30 days. Where the page does not match the CMS data, we correct it and add a dated note. Where it does match, we can add a dated clarification on the page, including a short statement from you, noting that the finding comes from CMS.
What we cannot change
We publish CMS records as CMS publishes them. If you believe an inspection finding itself is wrong, the place to challenge it is the state survey agency and CMS (informal dispute resolution); once the CMS data changes, we follow it. We do not remove or hide accurate public records on request.
For nursing home operators: the CMS number on each page is the CMS Certification Number, so you can check every row against the CMS Provider Data Catalog.
