About Nursing Home Record
Nursing Home Record is a small independent website for families choosing a nursing home, or keeping an eye on one where a relative already lives. It takes the inspection records CMS publishes for all 1,177 certified nursing homes in Texas and lays them out so you can compare homes, spot tags that keep coming back, and read each citation in plain English.
The site is free to use. It is not part of CMS, Medicare, or the State of Texas, and it takes no payments, referral fees, or advertising deals from nursing homes. We may show general display ads in the future to cover costs; ads would never change what the records say.
The numbers are only a starting point. Visit, ask the questions on each page, and check the official Medicare Care Compare and the facility's own inspection reports.
